The aim of this curriculum is to invite children to know and participate in their own neurodevelopment. To this end, the lessons teach students important skills through engaging video and audio recordings as well as activities to reinforce the content. Module 1 is foundational for Secure in Grace. It places social-emotional learning under the umbrella of Catholic Christian anthropology which recognizes God’s design for childhood neurodevelopment by integrating faith, virtue and interpersonal neurobiology. This Module is central for understanding why Secure in Grace is the path to educating and raising our youth to be secure in God’s love and grace.

Students will learn strategies for regulating emotions and managing the body’s fight, flight, or freeze response, fostering a sense of safety and stability. Students will discover what it means to feel emotionally safe – a vital first step toward living in a still point of grace and building secure attachment with God and others.
